Communication Studies Doctoral Courses Common to Both Emphases: Courses in the advanced study of the Communication discipline that will provide a foundation for the dissertation and advanced research projects. These courses apply for credit in the Ph.D. in Communication Studies for both the Moving Image Studies and Public Communication concentrations.

Moving Image Studies: Courses in the history, theory and criticism of the moving image. These courses apply for credit in the Ph.D. in Communication Studies for the Moving Image Studies Emphasis.

Public Communication: Courses in the history, theory and criticism of public communication. These courses apply for credit in the Ph.D. in Communication Studies for the Moving Image Studies Emphasis.

Masters Degree Courses

Communication Masters Courses Common to All Concentrations: Courses in the study of the the Communication discipline. These courses are designed to give the students of the department a shared method and discourse in their creative and intellectual development. These courses apply for credit in the M.A. in Communication.

Film, Video & Digital Imaging: Courses in the study and production of film and video media arts. These courses apply for credit in the M.A. in Communication.

Human and Social Influence: Courses in the study of how the spoken and written word functions within and impacts society. These courses apply for credit in M.A. in Communication.

Mass Communication: Courses in the study, the production and influence of the mass media on various audiences at home and abroad. These courses apply for credit in M.A. in Communication.
